Austin police investigate fatal crash on North IH-35 NB

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, at approximately 11:09 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles in the 1500 block of North IH-35 NB. The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were not injured and are cooperating with the investigation.

However, multifamily construction permit activity continued its downward trend at the start of 2024.
