Love-A-Bull, an animal rescue and advocate for responsible pit bull ownership in Austin, has announced its upcoming Pittie Pack Walk in the Mueller area. The event, which is held every first Sunday of the month, aims to promote responsible pet ownership and is open to all dog owners.
According to Love-A-Bull's Facebook post, the Pittie Pack Walk offers dog lovers the opportunity to spend time with their pets outdoors and meet like-minded individuals. The walk will cover a distance of approximately 2.5 miles and is expected to take around an hour to complete. Shorter routes are available for those who prefer them.
The walk is not exclusive to pit bull owners; all breeds are welcome. The focus is on responsible guardianship and enjoying a walk in a safe and friendly environment. To ensure a smooth experience, Love-A-Bull has asked attendees to bring only one dog per person, poop bags for clean-up, any necessary equipment like harnesses or muzzles for a comfortable walk, and water for themselves and their dogs.
The Pittie Pack Walk will meet under the spider sculpture at the corner of Tom Miller Street and Berkman Drive, where a walk leader wearing a Love-A-Bull shirt will be ready to greet participants. The event is scheduled to take place on October 1.
Love-A-Bull Inc. is an organization that originated from the former Austin American Pit Bull Terrier Meetup Group in 2003. Its mission is to promote responsible ownership, enhance the well-being of pit bull-type dogs, and promote their positive image through community support, education, advocacy, and rescue efforts. In 2020 alone, Love-A-Bull rescued 200 pit bull-type dogs.
While Love-A-Bull regularly hosts community activities, its main goal is to promote advocacy and education. The organization welcomes the support of community members and volunteers who share their mission.
