Water main repair near Davis Lane Pump Station progresses without service interruptions

Austin Water reports progress in repairing a leaking water main near the Davis Lane pump station, which services Southwest Austin. Currently, there are no concerns that would prevent repairs from being completed safely overnight, but work continues and completion is based on field conditions.

While there have been no water service interruptions during repairs, Austin Water urges customers in Southwest Austin to continue conserving water and refrain from non-essential uses at this time. Customers are advised to postpone activities such as washing clothes and dishes, using irrigation systems, and washing cars until notified that repairs are complete. Managing water use helps maintain adequate reservoir levels and safe system pressure for the area.

Austin Water's call volume remains below normal with no increased reports of outages in the affected area. Customers experiencing any water service issues may call Austin Water’s Customer Service Contact Center at (512) 972-1000 and select Option 1 to report concerns.

A bottled water distribution point at Bowie High School, 4103 W. Slaughter Lane ended at 7 p.m. for customers near the Davis Lane pump station in Southwest Austin. More than 2,268 cases of water were distributed to customers today.

Austin Water will provide additional updates once repairs are complete and normal water use can resume.
