Palmer Events Center announces January lineup of events

The Palmer Events Center in Austin has unveiled a series of events for January. The center will host 10 events throughout the month, offering a variety of experiences ranging from shopping and cultural activities to entertainment.

According to a press release issued on Jan. 4, the International Gem and Jewelry Show was the first event, taking place from Jan. 5 to 7. This was followed by the City-Wide Vintage Sale on Jan. 6-7, which showcased vintage clothing, furniture, and art.

The press release on the Palmer Events Center website also announced that the 2024 Bridal Extravaganza took place on Jan. 14. The event served as a comprehensive platform for couples planning their weddings.

From Jan. 19-21, according to the same release, the center is set to host the 21st annual Star of Texas Tattoo Art Revival. This international event will highlight the skills of tattoo artists worldwide and will feature contests, a kids zone, tattoo art galleries among other attractions.

On Jan.19-20, race participants can attend the 3M Half Marathon Expo to collect their race packets and explore new running products from various vendors.

The Austin Youth Council Career Fest is scheduled for Jan. 24 and aims to provide students with insights into different career sectors and college opportunities. For martial arts enthusiasts, NexTKD 2 Taekwondo will feature a match between Christian Suh and Hayk Amirbekyan at an undisclosed date in January. According to the release, this event promises real taekwondo action with revised rules and a new format emphasizing speed, power, and technique.

Wrapping up January's events is Le Garage Sale on Jan. 27-28 which aims to bring together local boutiques, brands, and designers selling their products.

The Palmer Events Center's website describes it as a venue located near Butler Park in Austin with views of downtown. The center is conveniently located near the city's hotels, which offer a total of 11,000 guest rooms. The venue’s floor plan spans 125,000 gross square feet, including two column-free exhibit halls covering 70,000 square feet and covered outdoor canopies adding an extra 50,000 square feet to the available space.
