Honor our local veterans without leaving home through The Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s unique exhibit, To Serve: Honoring Veterans in Austin’s Cemeteries. “To Serve looks at Texans’ long history of military service, identifying local veterans who served in conflicts from the War of 1812 to the present,” according to austintexas.gov. “The exhibit honors men and women who served their country and seeks to preserve their histories through videos, photographs, digital maps and other multimedia content.”
Lady Macbeth and Her Pal, Megan By Megan Gogerty, a stand-up play/monologue performed by Eva McQuade will run from Wednesday, Sept. 29 through Saturday, Oct. 2. Here’s an event for you that will allow you to discover more about the east Austin heritage while enjoying the fun of running with taco stops along the way! Thrive! An art show from over 40 Austin artists is currently on exhibit at the Art for the People Gallery located 1711 South 1st Street. The artists feature artworks that demonstrate persistence, evolution, pivot and various adjustments people all had to undergo for the past few months. Visit also the Thrive shop at this link.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival will fill Zilker Metropolitan Park, not just with a lot of music but as well as food and drinks from local restaurants, a mini-fest for kids, instagramable spots, giveaways and merch for shopping. The festival happens on two weekends: Oct. 1-3 and 8-10.
MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas happens from Oct. 1 to 3 at 9201 Circuit of The Americas Blvd., Austin, TX 78617. Tickets can be purchased through the COTA website.
Saturday, Oct. 2

There’s something for all art-lovers at the Art in ATX, a pop-up art market at the Moontower Cider Company, 1916 Tillery St, Austin, TX 78702. Handmade pieces and other unique crafts will be sold from 2 to 7 p.m. The arts are made by more than 20 local artists.
