April marks Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time to acknowledge the significant contributions made by individuals in supporting public schools. Austin ISD has announced its 2024-25 Volunteers of the Year, as part of this annual celebration.

The district expressed its gratitude, stating, “We know public schools could not work without the people from the community who step up to do what’s needed, and this is our chance to salute the best of an indispensable bunch.”

Each year, the campuses within Austin ISD select one or two volunteers and mentors who have provided exceptional support to their schools.

The community is encouraged to participate in volunteer and partnership opportunities. Information on how to become an approved volunteer is available for those interested.
