Bridge Point Elementary announces EANESpiration award winners

Bridge Point Elementary School has announced the winners of its EANESpiration awards for 2025. The awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the school community through educational impact, innovation, and outstanding achievements.

Ginger Bolen, a kindergarten teacher, was honored for her ability to reach every child regardless of their background or learning style. "Her kindness and inclusivity shine in every interaction," the announcement said.

Lauren Brown, a second-grade teacher, was recognized for her dedication to providing students with a comprehensive learning experience. She took on the role of team lead this year and prioritized both her team and students.

Andrea Johnson, another second-grade teacher, was praised for her commitment to student success by differentiating instruction and using data-driven decisions to enhance learning outcomes.

Special education teachers Maddy Marchetti and Isla McPhail were acknowledged for their efforts in supporting students with diverse needs. Marchetti provides tools like to-do lists and classroom schedules, while McPhail creates an inclusive environment that meets social and emotional needs.

Erika Miller, a third-grade teacher, received recognition for her passion for teaching writing and her data-driven approach to instruction. Her methods foster engagement and critical thinking among students.

Kindergarten teacher Dawn Skonieczny was noted for creating a positive classroom culture where students feel valued and motivated to learn.

Teaching assistant Jane Spajer was commended for making strong connections with students and colleagues alike. She transitioned from classroom support to one-on-one assistance this year.

Megan Taff, another special education teacher, was highlighted as a model for developing meaningful accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.

Ian Chambers, a fifth-grade teacher known for his creative teaching methods involving music and movement in science lessons, received an award under the innovation category.

Jillian Bennett, a school psychologist, was recognized as a hero for consistently going above and beyond in supporting students' needs.

James Brown's leadership in coordinating STEM labs at BPE brought him recognition as well. His efforts enriched the learning environment by integrating district curriculum into hands-on experiences.

Parent volunteers Colette Crossman and Mercedes Frost were also celebrated. Crossman redesigned the literacy library while Frost coordinated STEM labs with teachers at BPE.

Finally, Tracie Mojica (fifth-grade teacher) and Lisa Palmer (special education teacher) were acknowledged for their leadership qualities that contribute positively towards staff morale at Bridge Point Elementary School.
