The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has announced the inaugural group of TCA Elite Fleet certified carriers. A total of 45 truckload carriers have been recognized with this certification, which designates them as the 2025 Best Place to Drive. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the University of Denver’s Transportation & Supply Chain Institute, aims to highlight North American for-hire truckload carriers that provide exceptional work environments, competitive compensation, and innovative practices for their drivers.

The selection process for the certified fleets involved a thorough evaluation based on several key metrics including safety, driver satisfaction, turnover rates, compensation, benefits, quality of life for drivers, company equipment, and operational efficiency. Driver and independent contractor surveys were also conducted to validate these results.

Jim Ward from TCA commented on the achievement: "We are incredibly proud to announce this first class of TCA Elite Fleets. These carriers went through a comprehensive and detailed application process, had their drivers surveyed for validation, and received top scores for their combination of driver compensation, benefits, engagement, satisfaction, training, support, company equipment, safety, and facilities. These forty-seven carriers are truly Elite Fleets, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to them. I look forward to recognizing and celebrating them next month in Phoenix."

The list of certified carriers includes companies such as AAT Carriers from Chattanooga, TN; American Central Transport from Kansas City, MO; Bison Transport from Winnipeg; Brenny Specialized from St Joseph; Brown Dog Carriers from Biddeford; Cargo Transporters from Claremont; Cheema Freightlines from Pacific; Chief Carriers from Grand Island; Christenson Transportation from Strafford; Crawford Trucking from Des Moines; Don Hummer Trucking from Cedar Rapids; Dutch Maid Logistics from Willard; Erb Transport from New Hamburg; Fortigo Freight Services from Etobicoke; Fremont Contract Carriers from Fremont; FTC Transportation from Oklahoma City; Garner Trucking from Findlay; Grand Island Express from Grand Island among others.

These TCA Elite Fleets will be honored at TCA’s Annual Convention in Phoenix with a special awards program scheduled for Monday, March 17. The association also expressed gratitude towards the sponsors of the TCA Elite Fleet program: EpicVue, TruckRight, and Netradyne.
