Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has announced the introduction of three new concessions at the Barbara Jordan Terminal. These additions include Half Moon Empanadas, Antone’s, and HKG Duty Free.
Half Moon Empanadas, a Miami-based eatery known for its handcrafted empanadas, has opened on the non-secure side of the airport. Pilar Guzmán, CEO of Half Moon Empanadas, expressed excitement about joining the Austin community: “Landing at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is a significant milestone for Half Moon Empanadas... This expansion reflects our commitment to fueling life's journeys and bringing our authentic Latin flavors to more people.”
This marks the first new sit-down hot food concession in this area since COVID-19. The opening was made possible through construction updates and a partnership with Delaware North Company. A soft launch occurred in Fall 2024, with a grand opening on January 29, 2025.
Antone’s has also opened a satellite location at AUS. Known for its history as an iconic blues club founded by Clifford Antone in 1975, it now offers travelers an authentic Austin music experience. Will Bridges, co-owner of Antone’s, said: “We are thrilled to finally have an Antone’s location in the airport... It is truly an honor for our Antone's airport location to serve as a beacon of Austin’s live music scene.” The venue features elements reminiscent of its main location and operates under Delaware North Company.
HKG Duty Free is another addition providing travelers with high-quality products such as perfumes and cosmetics. Ross Khaledi, President of HKG Duty Free, stated: "We are excited to partner with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport... Our goal is to provide travelers with an unparalleled shopping experience that reflects the spirit and culture of Austin." Founded in Laredo, Texas in 1977 and headquartered in Miami today, HKG Duty Free continues expanding its presence.

The Journey With AUS expansion program aims for further enhancements starting in 2026 with the West Gate expansion introducing more shopping and dining options.
