Manor Independent School District (ISD) has successfully met all necessary criteria to be removed from monitoring by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This marks the conclusion of a process that began in 2019 when TEA placed the district under observation due to areas needing improvement.

Since that time, Manor ISD has made progress in governance and prioritizing student outcomes during Board Meetings. The Trustees have addressed every recommendation from TEA, leading to the agency lifting its oversight as of January 9, 2025.

"This milestone is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our board," said Manor ISD Board President Ana Cortez. "We have worked diligently to create lasting improvements that will benefit our students for generations. Exiting TEA monitoring is a victory for the entire Manor ISD family, and we will continue striving for excellence in all that we do."

Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani noted that despite the conclusion of TEA's monitoring, the district's mission remains focused on service, problem-solving, and leadership with integrity. "This accomplishment demonstrates what’s possible when we work together with a focus on student success," said Dr. Sormani. "We are proud of how far we’ve come, and we remain committed to ensuring that every student in Manor ISD has access to the highest quality education."

With this achievement, Manor ISD reaffirms its dedication to its students, families, and community and looks forward to continuing its role as a leader in public education.
