Austin-Bergstrom sees mixed results in passenger and cargo traffic for November

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport reported a decrease in passenger traffic for November 2024, with a total of 1,769,872 passengers. This marks a 7.41% decline compared to the same month in 2023. Enplanements were also down by 6.82%, totaling 892,589.

Among airlines, Southwest Airlines recorded 731,013 passengers, a decrease of 4.7%. American Airlines saw a significant drop of 27.5% with 319,730 passengers. Delta Air Lines experienced an increase of 8.9%, totaling 279,184 passengers, while United Airlines also saw growth with a rise of 4.4%, reaching 226,615 passengers.

In terms of cargo traffic for November 2024, the airport handled a total of 23,262,296 pounds of air cargo—a decrease of 4.17% from the previous year. However, international air cargo increased by 15.40%.

General aviation operations showed a slight increase of 1.50%, totaling at 4,054 operations in November.

For the period from January to November 2024, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport's passenger traffic was down by approximately 1.76% compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

Cargo traffic for this period totaled over 277 million pounds—an increase of more than eight percent compared to January through November last year—with international air cargo showing notable growth as well.
