Manor Independent School District (ISD) has appointed Dr. Tamey Williams-Hill as the new Deputy Superintendent. Previously serving as Chief of Human Resources since 2022, Dr. Williams-Hill will now have expanded duties while continuing to lead the Human Resources Department. Her role includes supporting Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani in managing daily operations and setting strategic directions for the district.

Dr. Williams-Hill's responsibilities will cover budget preparation, long-term planning, coordinating divisions, forecasting student enrollment, developing the academic calendar, and acting as Superintendent in Dr. Sormani’s absence.

“I am honored to serve as Deputy Superintendent and continue working alongside our incredible team to ensure the success of every student in Manor ISD,” said Dr. Williams-Hill. “This district holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made to achieve even greater heights together.”

With over two decades of experience in education across various school districts, Dr. Williams-Hill has achieved notable accomplishments such as serving as Interim Superintendent for Manor ISD and leading bond planning efforts that secured substantial funding for school bonds.

Since joining Manor ISD, she has been pivotal in achieving a 5% enrollment increase for the 2023-2024 school year and enhancing crisis management protocols. Her work also included implementing competitive compensation packages with a $17 minimum wage for district employees.

“Dr. Williams-Hill has been an immense leader in Manor ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani. “Her dedication to fostering excellence and innovation has already made a profound impact on our district."

A recognized expert in her field, Dr. Williams-Hill is active both professionally and within her community, serving on boards such as the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators (TASPA) and volunteering with organizations that support educators and students.

Dr. Williams-Hill holds advanced degrees from Texas State University and Southwest Texas State University.
