Superintendent Matias Segura | Austin Independent School District, TX

Priority enrollment for the 2025-26 school year is now open for all current and future students of Austin Independent School District (Austin ISD). The district encourages families to "Find Your Seat in Austin ISD" by preparing the necessary documents for enrollment.

For new families joining Austin ISD, it is essential to provide a student's current immunization records. Returning families are required to submit these records only if they have been updated. New families must also present a parent or guardian identification, while returning families need to update this information if there are any changes.

Proof of guardianship is necessary for both new and returning families only when applicable or updated. Proof of residency is mandatory every year for all families, which can be an electric bill, gas bill, lease, or mortgage statement that is dated within the last 45 days.

Additionally, new enrollees will need to provide a child's birth certificate and optionally their social security card. If applicable, a child’s withdrawal form or last report card should also be submitted.

The priority enrollment period remains open until February 4, 2025. This period covers registration for neighborhood schools as well as submissions for application-based programs and transfers.

Families are invited to explore the various campuses, enrichment programs, and specialty tracks offered by Austin ISD as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
