The Festival of Trees, organized by The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, took place over the weekend, bringing together the community in a celebration aimed at supporting those in need. The event featured a display of 10 uniquely decorated Christmas trees available for auction, with proceeds benefiting The Rathgeber Center for Families and the Angel Tree program.
Guests were welcomed into a festive atmosphere filled with music performed by Major Feinauer. Holiday classics resonated throughout the venue as attendees enjoyed refreshments such as hot chocolate and cookies. Attendees also contributed to The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program by donating new toys and clothing intended to brighten Christmas morning for families facing financial difficulties.
A notable contribution came from Dick and Sarah Rathgeber, who donated $10,000 to directly support children involved in the Angel Tree program. This donation is expected to significantly impact many lives within the community.
The funds raised during this event are earmarked for providing essential services like shelter and resources for families both during the holiday season and beyond. Organizers expressed gratitude toward all participants who dedicated their time and resources to ensure the success of this year's festival.
