The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is calling on its members to apply for positions on the organization's committees and council boards of trustees for the 2025 leadership year. These volunteer leaders are essential in providing knowledge and guidance to develop policies that support the home building industry.

Committees and councils convene during the Spring and Fall Leadership Meetings, as well as at the International Builders’ Show, to discuss legislative and regulatory news, business updates, and other pertinent issues. Their role includes making informed recommendations to the NAHB Board of Directors on policy matters.

Members interested in serving can now submit their applications until November 10, 2024. The application process requires logging into nahb.org to access the online form.

Applicants are advised to review criteria for serving on a committee or council, ensuring their membership is "in good standing." They can select up to six committees or councils and rank them according to preference. Additionally, applicants should explain their interest in serving and mention any recommendations from others if applicable. Those who have never served before should indicate this in their application.

Once submitted, applicants will receive confirmation that their application has been received. Changes can be made by revisiting the application link.

Current committee and council members must also reapply if they wish to serve another year, as there are no automatic multiyear appointments.
