British Airways announced today an increase in nonstop flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to London Heathrow (LHR). Starting March 31, 2025, the airline will offer twice-daily service six days a week. The route will be serviced by British Airways' Boeing 787-10 aircraft, noted for its fuel efficiency and dual-aisle configuration.
British Airways first introduced Central Texas to nonstop European flights in 2014 with the launch of AUS's inaugural transatlantic flight. Since then, the airline has continued to serve travelers from Austin and Central Texas with regular service to London. From London Heathrow, passengers can connect to over 190 destinations across more than 65 countries through British Airways' extensive network.

Doug Driskill from the Austin Chamber of Commerce emphasized the economic impact of increased connectivity with Europe. He stated that it opens new opportunities for trade and investment while bringing more international visitors.
