Palmer Events Center hosts multiple community events in August

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 10 events during August, including the Austin Card Show, Austin Train Show, Le Garage Sale, and one private event.

Bully City Limits will take place on Aug. 3, featuring a French and English Bulldog show with photographers, judges, DJs, and more as bulldog enthusiasts showcase their pets.

Pop Cats 2024 is scheduled for Aug. 3-4. This immersive festival includes cat-themed environments, adoption opportunities, art, workshops, merchandise, photo ops, and more.

The Big Ole Queer Market will occur on Aug. 10-11 with over 130 LGBTQIA+ local vendors and artists. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The Austin Card Show also happens on Aug. 10-11 where attendees can buy and sell sports cards, Pokémon cards, memorabilia, collectibles, and more. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Texas Roller Derby returns on Saturday, Aug. 17 for a bout between the Hellcats and the Rhinestones with doors opening at 5 p.m., game time at 6 p.m.

The City-Wide Vintage Sale is back on Aug. 17-18 offering vintage items from dozens of shops under one roof from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

The Austin Train Show takes place on Aug. 24-25 featuring over 25,000 square feet of model railroading displays including Lego railroads along with clinics and vendors from around the region.

Le Garage Sale also occurs on Aug.24-25 showcasing sale racks from over140 local businesses offering end-of-season pricing for one weekend only with VIP hours starting at9:30a .m .on Saturday followed by normal hours until5p .m ., continuing through Sunday .

The Austin Tattoo Invitational spans three days from Aug .30 - Sept .1 , displaying artwork by some of the most talented tattoo artists globally . Open Friday noon -10p m ,Saturday noon -10p m ,and Sunday noon -7p m .
