The PNC Foundation has announced a three-year partnership with the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), reinforcing its commitment to the Austin music community. This renewed sponsorship positions PNC as HAAM's exclusive financial education partner and co-lead supporter of HAAM Day, the city's largest fundraising event for local musicians.
As the exclusive financial education partner, PNC will conduct several annual workshops aimed at educating HAAM artists on managing personal and business finances. The initiative seeks to stabilize professional growth and improve health outcomes for these musicians.
PNC's role as co-lead partner of HAAM Day will support the fundraising event scheduled for September 24, 2024. The event will feature over 200 performances across Austin, aiming to benefit Central Texas musicians covered by HAAM services. Last year, with PNC’s involvement, nearly $800,000 was raised in a single day.
In addition to this partnership, PNC participated in HAAM’s Corporate Battle of the Bands held in June at ACL Live at the Moody Theater.
PNC's support for the Austin music community extends beyond HAAM. The organization is also the official bank of ACL Live and the Austin City Limits television show. Moreover, PNC backs a residency program that highlights a local musician each month in collaboration with KUTX.
The PNC Foundation primarily receives funding from The PNC Financial Services Group. It actively supports organizations that benefit communities where it operates significantly, focusing on early childhood education and community and economic development, including arts and culture. Through its signature cause, PNC Grow Up Great®, launched in 2004, it has committed $500 million to prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life.
