Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Cameron Road

On Monday, June 24, 2024, at approximately 6:04 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 9200 block of Cameron Road. The driver of the vehicle left the scene immediately after the crash without stopping or calling 9-1-1. The pedestrian, identified as Corey Green, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 35th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 36 fatalities for the year. On the same date in 2023, there were 48 fatal crashes resulting in 48 fatalities.
