The Pan American Recreation Center Oswaldo A.B. Cantu and the Neighborhood Park, in collaboration with the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, invite the community to the Hillside Panamericano Summer Concert Series 2024. The concerts will take place every Tuesday in July from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Oswaldo A.B. Cantú Pan American Recreation Center, located at 2100 E. 3rd St.

Now in its 66th year, this concert series is a cherished tradition in East Austin. Attendees are encouraged to bring portable chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy this free event with their families.

The Hillside Panamericano Summer Concert Series serves as an important platform for showcasing the music and culture of Austin's Mexican, Mexican-American, Chicano, and Latino communities. Residents of Austin, particularly those living or working in East Austin around the Holly and César Chávez neighborhoods, gather annually with family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy free outdoor music.

Food carts offering tacos, refreshments, and more will be available for purchase alongside a community resource fair and free activities for children. Musical performers include Willie "The Kid" Cantu & The Starlight, George Mercado, Janie Balderas, The Tiarras, and Ruben Ramos & Mexican Revolution.
