UT’s Excellence and Impact On Display in Latest Graduate School Rankings

The University of Texas at Austin has once again demonstrated its excellence in graduate education, as highlighted in the recent release of U.S. News & World Report's "Best Graduate Schools." President Jay Hartzell expressed pride in the university's performance, stating, "Our talent is what puts UT at the leading edge of discovery in AI and robotics, life sciences, population research, and many other disciplines that are at the forefront of solving many of the world’s most pressing problems and bettering society."

UT's College of Education made significant strides, moving up eight spots to secure a place in the top 10 rankings. The McCombs School of Business also saw success, climbing four ranks to No. 16 overall. Furthermore, the Information Systems MBA program at McCombs maintained its strong standing, ranking No. 4 this year and marking 31 years in the top 5, with Accounting holding the No. 1 position for 18 years.

The College of Pharmacy and Computer Science both advanced in the rankings, moving up to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. Additionally, the Nursing master's program saw a notable rise, securing the 14th position.

U.S. News & World Report's graduate rankings, recognized as the gold standard in the industry, are based on surveys of academic leaders and various quantitative measures. While some rankings have been updated, the release for engineering, medicine, and psychology is yet to come.

UT maintained its top 10 spots in five colleges and schools, with three specialties ranking No. 1 in the country: Accounting, Latin American History, and Sociology of Population. Overall, the university boasts 42 graduate schools and specialty programs within the top 10, aligning with its commitment to excellence in education and research.

The rankings reflect UT's continuous efforts to attract exceptional faculty and students, driving innovation and impactful discoveries across various fields.
