Allegiant Air to launch new service between Austin, Eugene, OR next year

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and low-cost carrier Allegiant Air announced new non-stop flights between the Texas state capital and Eugene, Oregon. Allegiant will begin the service from the South Terminal on May 31, 2024, operating seasonally through Aug. on twice-weekly service.

According to a report from Austin NBC affiliate KXAN News, flights will leave Austin Monday and Friday at 8 a.m. and arrive in Eugene at 9:58 a.m. local time while flights heading toward AUS depart EUG at 10:48 a.m. local time and arrive in Austin at 4:30 p.m.

AUS’s release mentioned that Eugene is about two hours south of Portland, and is famous for its farmer's markets, vintage shopping and close proximity to the Willamette National Forest and Oregon coast.

In the same release, it was stated that AUS – along with the new route to and from Eugene, will have 19 non-stop destinations.
