Council Member Alter called the committee meeting to order at 9:32 a.m.

Approval of Minutes
1. Approve the minutes of the Audit and Finance Committee meeting of December 13, 2022.
The minutes of the December 13, 2022 Audit and Finance Committee meeting were approved on Council Member Kelly’s motion, and Council Member Fuentes’ second, on a 4-0 vote.
Briefings
2. 2022 Austin Water review presented by Dr. Lynn Katz, Director of Center for Water and the Environment at the University of Texas.
The Committee received a briefing from Dr. Lynn Katz, Director of Center for Water and the Environment at the University of Texas.
Future Items
3. Identify items to discuss at future meetings
Fire Overtime Audit, Strategic Direction 2023 Audit, update on the Animal Services Audit, update on Disaster Preparedness Audit, and an update on the budget rider from Building Services may be presented during the February Committee meeting.
An update on the 2022 Austin Water review presented to a February joint special called meeting of the Audit and Finance Committee and the Austin Water Oversight Committee.
