The PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE convened in a hybrid format meeting on September 19, 2022, at 301 W. 2nd Street in Austin, Texas.

Committee Chair Harper-Madison called the committee meeting to order at 2:06 p.m.

Committee Members in Attendance:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1. Approve the minutes of the August 23, 2022, meeting of the Public Safety Committee.

The motion approving the minutes of the August 23, 2022, meeting of the Public Safety Committee was passed on Council Member Kelly’s motion, seconded by Council Member Vela, without objection and with Council Member Vela off the dais, a 3-0 vote.

DISCUSSION

2. Discussion and possible action on implementing a sliding scale of fines for certain non-moving traffic law citations.
