WalletHub: Texas seventh best state for remote work

The Texas Real Estate Center has issued the following press release:

WASHINGTON – Texas has ranked seventh on WalletHub’s list of the best states for working from home. 

The Lone Star State was first in living environment and 11th in working environment. 

It was also first in average home square footage, second in lowest Internet cost, 19th in share of potential telecommuters, 25th in both average retail price of electricity and share of population working from home, and 29th in households’ Internet access.

Last year, Texas was eighth on WalletHub’s list. It was also the trendiest state to move to for remote work, with Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston being the top destinations.

The top five states on WalletHub’s list, from first to fifth, were New Jersey, District of Columbia, Delaware, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
