Approval of Minutes
1. Approve the minutes of the Public Health Committee meeting on October 6, 2021 and the Special Called meeting on October 13, 2021.
Passed on Vice Chair Fuentes motion, Council Member Kitchen’s second on a 3-0 vote. Mayor Adler and Mayor Pro Tem Natasha Harper-Madison off the dais.
Discussion and Possible Action
2. Approve the 2022 Public Health Committee Schedule.
Sponsors: Council Member Kathie Tovo, and Council Member Vanessa Fuentes. Passed on Vice Chair Fuentes motion, Council Member Kitchen’s second on a 3-0 vote. Mayor Adler and Mayor Pro Tem Natasha Harper-Madison off the dais.
Briefings
3. Briefing and discussion on issues related to homelessness.
The Committee received a briefing from Pete Valdez, Downtown Austin Community Court and Dianna Grey, Chief Homeless Strategy Officer.
4. Briefing on Resolution No. 20210408-028 (Community Resilience Hubs). The Committee received a briefing from Zach Baumer, Office of Sustainability and Matias Segura, Austin Independent School District.
