Manor Independent School District (ISD) is inviting the community to engage in discussions about the district's projected budget and the challenges it faces for the 2025-2026 school year. The district will hold two information sessions to provide insights into its budgeting process and gather input from community members.
The first session is scheduled for March 11 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. as a virtual event, requiring prior registration. Participants will receive a confirmation email with joining details, followed by a reminder email 30 minutes before the session begins. The second session will take place on April 2 at Manor New Tech Middle School at 6:00 p.m.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani emphasized the importance of these sessions amid rising operational costs and evolving student needs, without additional state funding for public schools. "With increasing operational costs, evolving student needs, and no additional state funding allocated to public schools, it’s more important than ever for our community to understand the financial landscape of Manor ISD," he stated. He added that these meetings aim to provide transparency about the budget process while allowing community members to express their views and concerns.
Both sessions will cover topics related to the budget process, financial challenges, and potential decisions facing Manor ISD. The virtual meeting will feature a live Q&A segment where attendees can submit questions in real-time.
For those unable to attend live, a recording of the virtual session will be available on Manor ISD's YouTube channel after the event.
