Scott Strickland, a musician from Houston, Texas, has made Austin his home for over nine years. He transitioned from a career in retail and teaching filmmaking at colleges across Texas to pursuing music full-time after being laid off during the pandemic. This shift allowed him to explore his creativity and deepen his relationship with God.
Strickland's debut album "L.A." received praise from Peter Blackstock, who wrote, “It might be the best video, and song, to come out of Austin in the first half of 2022.” The album features a stripped-down Rock/Pop sound with a more folk-centered approach, incorporating lush string arrangements.
His latest project is titled Strings Attached: The 1500 Sessions. Strickland collaborated with prominent artists in Austin to bring this ambitious work to life.
