City of Austin to host GSA meeting on open government action plan

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the City of Austin, in partnership with Austin Community College, will host representatives from the General Services Administration (GSA) from Washington, D.C., to commence work on Austin's Action Plan 3.

The event will be held at Austin Community College's Center for Government and Civic Service located at 1218 West Ave., Austin, TX 78701. Free parking is available in the ACC Garage on 12th Street between West Ave. and Shoal Creek Blvd., or metered street parking is also available around the venue. The garage is approximately 1.5 blocks from the event space. Signage will direct attendees to the correct location upon entering the building. An elevator is available for access to the second floor if needed.

The agenda for the meeting includes:

- **3:00 - 3:10 PM**: Arrival and check-in

- **3:10 - 3:15 PM**: Opening remarks by Sabine Romero from Global Business Expansion, Economic Development Department, City of Austin & Bryan Port, Director of the Center for Government & Civic Service at Austin Community College

- **3:16 - 3:23 PM**: GSA U.S. Open Government Secretariat Presentation by Daniel York, Director of U.S. Open Government Secretariat

- **3:23 - 3:30 PM**: City of Austin Presentation by Daniel Culotta, Chief Innovation Officer of City of Austin

- **3:30 - 4:15 PM**: Small group exercise on proposed City of Austin Open Government Action Plan commitments led by Ana DeFrates, Innovation Research Program Lead at City of Austin

- **4:15 - 4:30 PM**: Small group report outs

- **4:30 - 4:45 PM**: Sixth U.S. Open Government National Action Plan Listening Session

- **4:45 -5 :00 PM** Closing
