Timothy Howls, also known as Tim Lopez from the band Plain White T’s, performed an intimate show at Saxon Pub on July 6th. Lopez, who has written numerous songs and performed at hundreds of sold-out gigs with his band, is exploring a new musical direction under the moniker Timothy Howls.
Lopez has received two GRAMMY® Award nominations with Plain White T’s. Now, he aims to uncover another side of his artistry by drawing inspiration from classic sounds and all-time favorite artists such as Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Jeff Lynne, Traveling Wilburys, and Elliott Smith.
The Santa Barbara-born and Austin-based singer-songwriter decided to work solo on this project. He wrote songs without any expectations and invited friends to join him in this creative journey. His goal was to produce music that resonates deeply with listeners.
