The City of Austin is set to launch a redesigned Austin Build and Connect Portal (AB+C) on August 12. The AB+C Portal serves community members and businesses for applying for permits, scheduling inspections, and paying fees. The updated portal will feature an improved interface along with backend enhancements aimed at increasing security and reliability.

In preparation for the launch, the AB+C portal will undergo scheduled maintenance from 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, until 7 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024. During this period, the portal will be temporarily unavailable.

Customers are encouraged to complete any necessary activities before the portal goes offline or wait until it becomes available again on August 12. Once live, users will log into the new system using their existing credentials.

All user profiles, contact information, records, and billing information will be preserved in the new system. An image of the updated portal has been provided to help users familiarize themselves with the changes.

City departments will work with customers to ensure continued access to services during the outage. Additional resources regarding support and access to information will be available on the AB+C Portal website closer to the scheduled maintenance date. For detailed information on submitting applications, making payments, and scheduling inspections, customers are advised to contact the appropriate department.

"We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our critical City-wide tools and services."
