SSOE Group, an internationally recognized architecture and engineering firm with a focus on semiconductor, electric vehicle, and battery manufacturing, has announced the grand opening of its new office in Austin. The office is located at 1701 Directors Boulevard and was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

According to an Austin Chamber post announcing the opening, the event saw participation from SSOE leadership from both the U.S. and Mexico, along with local staff and clients. The Austin office will primarily focus on advanced technology projects and industrial manufacturing, supporting a variety of initiatives across SSOE's key market sectors. This aligns with its global initiative to advance the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The office officially began operations in mid-2023.

The company has a significant presence in Texas, having delivered facilities for almost 40 years and completed more than 400 projects in the state. According to the post by Austin Chamber, past projects include Toyota’s $2.3 million SF San Antonio assembly plant, TPCO America’s $1.6 million SF Gregory facility, and Continental’s LEED Gold certified facility in New Braunfels.

With nearly 50 local employees already onboarded, SSOE anticipates rapid growth for its Austin location. As per the post by Austin Chamber, it is expected to become one of the firm's largest offices shortly. In line with its expansion plans, SSOE is inviting individuals to join its team in Austin through open positions listed on their website.

The post further states that SSOE is renowned for advancing the AEC industry globally. The company has received several accolades such as being named a "Great Workplace" by Great Place to Work and recognized as one of the "Best AEC Firms to Work For" by BD+C. Since its inception 75 years ago, SSOE provides project solutions across various industries including semiconductor, automotive, battery, food, chemical, and glass manufacturing.
