Favor Delivery has announced a partnership with the Southern Smoke Foundation for the holiday season. This initiative will allow customers to support restaurant industry workers when placing orders through the Favor app or website until the end of the year. With a donation goal set at $50,000, Favor plans to double the impact of customer contributions by matching every dollar donated, up to a total of $25,000.

According to a press release from Favor, this initiative will run until December 31. The primary aim is to raise funds that will provide emergency relief for food and beverage workers. Additionally, it seeks to offer access to free mental health services within the Texas industry. Customers using Favor's app or website can contribute any amount after making a purchase. Importantly, 100% of these proceeds will go directly towards supporting the Southern Smoke Foundation.

The press release further informs that the Southern Smoke Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by current and past food and beverage workers based in Houston, Texas. The organization aims to establish a safety net of support for individuals working in the food and beverage industry across the United States. With over ten years of service under its belt, Southern Smoke has granted more than $11.1 million to food and beverage workers and provided over 3,900 no-cost counseling sessions since 2020.

Favor has previously shown its commitment to philanthropy by donating over $1 million to various causes across Texas, as noted in the release.

The release also encourages Texans to contribute to the Southern Smoke Foundation by placing orders through the Favor app or website until December 21, 2023. Alternatively, donations can be made directly on https://southernsmoke.org/donate/ at any time.
