UFCU appoints Joe Gonzalez as Associate VP of Everyday Banking

University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) announced the promotion of Joe Gonzalez to lead the Everyday Banking and Payments business unit, effective immediately. Starting as a mortgage coordinator at UFCU in 2005, Gonzalez has taken on increasingly senior positions over the last 18 years.

In his most recent role, Gonzalez played a crucial role in guiding UFCU to attain the top mortgage company ranking in Central Texas, as recognized by the Austin Business Journal. Now, in his new position, he will be responsible for supervising core products and services, such as checking and savings accounts, ATMs, debit and credit cards, within the Everyday Banking and Payments business unit according to a press release by UFCU.

"Joe Gonzalez has a strong track record of accomplishments at UFCU and is uniquely qualified for this position because of his leadership, knowledge of our organization, strong operations capabilities, and experience in growing product lines," said UFCU Executive Vice President Tom Moore according to s press release by UFCU. "We have a high degree of confidence that he will be the impact player we need in areas of the business that touches the greatest number of Members."

University Federal Credit Union is Austin's largest locally owned financial institution extending its services to Galveston County.
