In July 2023, Austin Bank honored Julian Mierop as the Star of the Month, acknowledging his exceptional commitment to teamwork and dedication to going the extra mile in his role. Mierop's coworkers hold him in high regard for his positive demeanor and dedication to team success. Serving as a customer service representative (CSR) at the Gladewater branch, Julian began as a teller at the Marshall office in 2020. Throughout his career, he has displayed a strong commitment to learning and professional development, evident in his transition to the CSR role at Longview Oak Forest in November 2021 before settling in Gladewater. His continuous efforts to expand his knowledge and experience underscore his aspirations for further career growth and success within the organization, according to a press release by Austin Bank.
“His patience and friendliness with our customers and employees make Julian a friend to many. He has proven to be a top notch goal-reacher with the premium debit cards and helps offices meet their goals by using his skills to explain the benefits of the cards to them,” Higdon continued.
Higdon wasn't the only one with kind words for Mierop.
“All I can say is ‘Wow!’ when I think about Julian! Since becoming a CSR he has excelled with the premium debit card referral program and set a record of 50 enrollments in April. He is a rising star within our organization and is deserving of this recognition. His sales and service skills set an example for all to follow,” said Lisa Emmons, SVP/eBanking Manager, in the same press release. “He is willing to help and train others, performing his duties with a smile and exuding confidence to his customers.”
