CUSO Financial Services (CFS) Advisors at University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) have been recognized with four Pacesetter Awards for exceptional dedication to delivering superior investment services and outstanding customer service to members in 2022. UFCU is the largest locally-owned financial institution in Austin.

“Our UFCU investment services team is a passionate group of individuals whose hard work exemplifies our commitment to serving all members of our community,” UFCU’s CEO and President Michael Crowl said in a statement

UFCU is proud to announce this achievement and recognizes the hard work and commitment of its CFS Advisors in providing top-quality investment services to their members, the statement said.

“They deserve to be recognized for their knowledge and dedication, and I am proud of their work to help our Members achieve their financial goals,” Crowl said of the advisors.

Pacesetter Awards recognize some of the top-registered financial advisors, who work at the hundreds of CFS credit union and bank programs, across the nation. Those who earn the prize are credited with generating significant revenue while providing high-quality investment and retirement planning services to member clients.

Wealth advisers Mark Spirk and Michael Guthrie were honored with Gold Pacesetter Awards, marking their 11th and ninth consecutive wins, respectively. Meanwhile, wealth adviser Rodney Nelson was awarded the Bronze Pacesetter Award for the second year in a row.

In addition to those individual awards, the entire CFS division received a Gold Pacesetter award for the team's collective efforts through the investment services program.

UFCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. The organization says it “is passionate about helping people and their members improve their lives to create a financially healthy community.”

With more than 360,000 members across parts of Texas, UFCU manages more than $4.5 billion in assets for those members. CFS/SPF, a national organization that supports credit unions and other financial institutions, presented the awards.
