Ticket sales are underway for the City of Austin's signature fall event, the Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival, according to reports from media outlets in the state capital.

Organizers of the annual outdoor event also unveiled the highly anticipated list of acts slated to grace the two-weekend party in October, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, P!nk, The Chicks and Lil Nas X designated as the headliners.

"Let's get the party started, y'all!" the festival's official Twitter account said just before it announced the lineup.

According to Austin ABC affiliate KVUE, tickets for one or both weekends last year were sold out within a three-hour span following their release while single-day tickets were gone in record time.

It's the second in-person ACL Fest held since the COVID-19 pandemic began, KVUE reported.

The 2021 celebration soldiered on despite lineup changes and other challenges posed by the coronavirus.

Austin NBC affiliate KXAN reported that Zilker Park will again host the event Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16.

According to the station, there will be over 100 performances across eight stages.

As of noon on Tuesday (May 10), the lowest ticket price is $295, per KXAN.

Just like last year, single-day tickets will go on sale at an unspecified future date.

KXAN reported that the 2021 ACL Fest pumped nearly $370 million into the local economy, or the equivalent to 3,903 full-time jobs.

C3 Presents, which presents the festival, said that the fall party has given Austin a windfall of more than $2.6 billion in the last 16 years, the station reported.

Austin Parks Foundation (APF) will reportedly receive nearly $7 million to make improvements to the city's greenspaces, per C3, according to KXAN.
