The Pflugerville High School Panthers cheerleading squad recently emerged victorious at the Cheer America Cheer Bowl Nationals in Galveston.
KVUE News reported that the Panthers finished first in the small varsity division and recorded the highest score in the school division to earn the grand champion title.
"Congratulations to PHS Cheer for winning the Cheer America Cheer Bowl Nationals this weekend in Galveston!" Pflugerville High School wrote in a Feb. 15 Twitter post. "Their No. 1 overall score also earned them Grand Champion to receive a paid bid to THE ONE Cheer & Dance Finals later this spring!"
As finalists to The One Cheer and Dance Finals, the Panthers will have an opportunity to compete against other regional winners to determine "The One Champion." As first place winners, it will cost the team nothing to participate in the event.
To commemorate the achievement, the cheerleaders received championship rings and jackets.
The school will display national champion and grand champion banners.
