Moveworks has opened a new office in Austin, further expanding its presence in the U.S.

The new office is available for Moveworks' fully vaccinated employees to use. The company has enacted COVID safety protocols. Twenty Moveworks employees are already using the new facility and that number is anticipated to increase to more than 40 by the end of the year.

"Austin is home to one of the most elite talent ecosystems in the tech industry," Moveworks CEO Bhavin Shah said in a Sept. 15 press release. "But the new office also allows us to support our many customers in the South — as they, in turn, support their employees using our platform. We're incredibly excited to invest in the development of our Austin team because, with their leadership, we'll bring instant help to every employee on earth."

Moveworks has plans to expand the Austin workforce to around 40 by the end of the year. Named one of Inc.'s Best Workplaces of 2021, Moveworks is hiring to fill positions in Austin and around the world. Moveworks is an AI platform that automates work support, according to a press release.

Austin is one of the fastest growing areas for technology companies. Moveworks wants to develop whole teams in Austin with opportunities for advancement within the company. There will be a team known as the "customer success" team that will meet with customers in person, according to a Sept. 15 press release from the company.

Nationally, Moveworks has more than doubled its employee base in the past year, going from 130 employees to 300, according to a press release. This growth has been attributed to improvements made to the company's platform, a new partnership with Microsoft Teams and a $200 million Series C funding round, increasing the value of the company to $2.1 billion. Moveworks is hiring in every department and earlier this year, was named one of the best workplaces for employees by Inc.
