Wise, a global technology company specializing in international money transfers and management, has announced a major expansion of its North American office hub in Austin. The company has increased its workspace by 200 percent to a total of 90,000 square feet, now occupying three floors at the Domain. This move is part of Wise’s strategy to meet growing demand in North America and reflects Austin’s appeal as a center for tech companies.

The expansion comes as Wise continues to see increasing customer needs for alternatives to traditional wire transfers and foreign exchange services. With more than 700 employees across the United States and ongoing hiring efforts, the Austin office houses teams from engineering and product development to marketing and customer support.

Isabel Naidoo, Chief People Officer at Wise, said: “The expansion of our Austin office hub is a powerful testament to the opportunity we have in North America. Austin’s dynamic and developing technology landscape serves as an exciting backdrop that will support the Wise team as we continue to build offerings that meet the international money needs of our growing customer base both locally and globally.”

The new office space features collaboration areas designed for innovation along with wellness facilities such as a multi-faith prayer room, quiet spaces, and massage chairs. Local design elements include ceiling fixtures inspired by the Texas State Capitol building, wave-shaped furniture reflecting local geography, and murals depicting Austin’s bats created by employees’ children.

A celebration was held to mark this milestone with participation from Wise leadership, Opportunity Austin, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, the Austin Technology Council, and other community partners. Mayor Kirk Watson contributed virtually with a congratulatory message: “Texas is committed to supporting global success stories like Wise as they grow their presence in the US. Wise is a great example of the kind of innovative, high-growth businesses that make Austin a leading hub for tech companies. Its success highlights the strength of our ecosystem – one that fosters entrepreneurship, attracts investments and creates high-skilled jobs. It demonstrates that Austin remains one of the best places to start and grow a business.”

Wise’s expanded presence at The Domain positions it within one of Austin’s main innovation centers where access to talent supports further growth. The company expects its enlarged hub will be central in serving North American customers who require better solutions for managing money internationally.
