Velocity Clinical Research recently celebrated the opening of its new clinical research site in North Austin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This expansion is part of the organization’s efforts to make clinical studies more accessible in the Austin area.

Velocity Clinical Research, known for supporting over 15,000 clinical studies across the U.S. and Europe, collaborates with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to explore new drugs, medical devices, and diagnostics aimed at improving human health. The organization previously operated from Cedar Park, Texas, but has now relocated to a modern facility in North Austin’s “Silicon Hill.”

The move signifies a milestone for Velocity as it seeks to engage with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of clinical research and ensure diverse community representation throughout all trial stages.

Michael Zimmerman, MD, medical director for Velocity Austin, stated: “This facility represents a pivotal step forward in our commitment to accelerating the delivery of new therapies and providing exceptional care to our community.” He added that their aim is “to foster collaboration, innovation, and discovery,” leading to medical breakthroughs that benefit individuals both locally and beyond.

For those interested in participating or learning more about their work, Velocity Clinical Research Austin is located at 12515-2 Research Park Loop, Suite 225.
