Manor Independent School District has announced the appointment of Ms. Valiza Castro as the new principal of Presidential Meadows Elementary School. Ms. Castro brings 18 years of experience in education, including eight years in educational leadership roles.

Ms. Castro has served in various capacities throughout her career, such as educator, summer school program manager, assistant principal, and most recently, elementary school principal with a focus on instructional growth for teachers.

“I am honored to take on the role of principal at Presidential Meadows Elementary. The PME school community is filled with heart, hope, and the promise of excellence,” said Ms. Castro. “I’m excited to lead our students, staff, and community as we soar to new heights, ensuring that every PME eagle receives a comprehensive and high-quality education.”

Ms. Castro holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts – Public Relations & Marketing with an Arts Minor from the University of Houston and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas.
