When UPLIFT Desk collaborated with Arrow Child & Family Ministries on a workspace planning initiative, the aim was to create an environment that would help support the organization’s work with children and families.

Arrow Child & Family Ministries, founded in Texas in 1992 by a former foster youth, has grown into a regional nonprofit serving communities in Texas and Maryland. The organization provides stable placements, family services, and specialized support for children in foster care. As Arrow expanded its reach, it identified a need for workspaces that could meet the demands of staff engaged in emotionally intensive work.

UPLIFT Desk offered free design and space-planning assistance. The project prioritized employee well-being and productivity, especially for those handling sensitive casework. It also focused on creating flexible spaces suitable for training, team collaboration, and confidential conversations. Design choices included warm wood tones, sit-stand desks, and privacy panels to allow smooth transitions between private discussions and group sessions. Durability and ergonomic features were incorporated to ensure comfort and efficiency during daily use.

According to the release: “Arrow’s commitment to strengthening families is closely connected to supporting the professionals delivering those services. The new workspace reinforces that philosophy by providing staff with the tools, comfort, and functionality needed to sustain long-term mission effectiveness.”

The project reflects UPLIFT Desk’s approach to designing work environments intended to enhance both organizational results and employee experience. As stated: “Whether serving a rapidly growing nonprofit like Arrow or a national enterprise, UPLIFT Desk focuses on designing work environments that elevate both organizational outcomes and the people doing the work. This project reflects that commitment—building a space that enables meaningful impact, every day.”
