Travis County officials are inviting residents to provide feedback on the county’s Master Flood Plan. The initiative includes a virtual open house where participants can learn about flood risks and planned updates to floodplain maps in Western Travis County watersheds.

The virtual open house will be held from Thursday, April 25, through Friday, May 10, 2024. Residents can visit the online platform (link TBD) to engage with the study and share their experiences related to flooding of creeks and rivers in the area.

The county aims to gather insights from residents to inform community strategies and keep them updated on the latest floodplain maps. “Provide your input on the Master Flood Plan by May 10 to influence our community strategies in Western Travis County,” said a county spokesperson.

For more information or inquiries, residents can contact via email at FloodPlan@traviscountytx.gov (email TBD).
