In 2023, Texas Mutual launched its inaugural corporate citizenship strategy aimed at strengthening Texas through its business operations, philanthropy, and partnerships. The focus is on four key impact areas.

Austin, home to the company’s headquarters, remains a focal point for Texas Mutual’s community efforts. Nearly 700 Austin-based employees engage in numerous volunteer activities annually. In 2024, significant contributions were made to the Austin area.

Among these contributions, employees raised over $175,000 for United Way during their annual campaign. The company also donated building space to Primrose School of Austin at Mueller to expand care for additional students. Moreover, $350 million in general dividends were distributed to policyholders statewide, with $13.2 million directed to Travis County businesses.

Additionally, $125,000 was contributed towards designing the Austin Infrastructure Academy to facilitate career pathways in construction and operations. In October, Texas Mutual’s Month of Giving saw volunteers from Austin partnering with several charitable organizations like Generation SERVE and Ronald McDonald House.

A mural was unveiled at Branch Park Pavilion in Mueller neighborhood as part of their 30th-anniversary celebrations. Employees also raised over $42,000 for the American Heart Association and participated in its annual Heart Walk.

The company’s efforts are detailed in the 2024 Corporate Citizenship Impact Report available online.

“We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and are grateful to our policyholders, agents, community partners and employees who share in our mission,” states Texas Mutual.
