Texas earlier this month unveiled details about the Longhorns’ 2022 spring game.

“The spring game will be the first glimpse for fans to see the Longhorns in action before the 2022 season opener against ULM on Saturday, Sept. 3,” a press release stated.

The intra-squad Orange-White scrimmage will be played on April 23, according to UT’s athletic department. It’ll give fans a first look at the team before the 2022 season kicks off. All activities surrounding the Orange-White Game are free admission.

Several members of the 2022 recruiting class will appear in the game, including five-star quarterback transfer Quinn Ewers. The game is part of “Made in Austin Weekend,” which includes live music, specialty food and beverage offerings, live art installations and other activities. The several events will revolve around different fan experiences that make Austin unique.

Texas finished the 2021 season with a 5-7 record. It suffered its longest losing streak – six games – since 1957. The Longhorns face University of Louisiana at Monroe to open the season on Sept. 3.
