Central Texans are being encouraged to participate in the 13th annual Amplify Austin Day, organized by | Live Here | Give Here. The event is scheduled for March 5-6 and aims to raise $10 million for over 700 local nonprofit organizations. It will begin at 6 p.m. on March 5 and conclude at 6 p.m. on March 6.
The initiative provides a platform for residents across seven Central Texas counties—Travis, Hays, Williamson, Burnet, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Blanco—to donate to various causes through the online platform Amplify ATX. This year, more than 106 new nonprofits are participating, with a focus on diverse cause categories such as racial equity, the environment, animals, arts, basic needs, children, veterans, and newly added disability services.
Piper Stege Nelson, Executive Director of | Live Here | Give Here said: "When the world feels big and out of control, one of the ways to really make a difference is to give back locally." She emphasized that Amplify Austin Day offers an opportunity for community members to demonstrate their care and make a significant impact.
Early giving began on January 29 at AmplifyATX.org. Donations made early will contribute to the overall totals and help nonprofits qualify for incentives and prizes. Since its inception in 2013, Amplify Austin Day has raised $112.7 million for over 1,500 nonprofits in Central Texas.
Community members can become Fundraising Champions or Business Fundraisers by engaging with their favorite nonprofits during this event. Businesses can register until February 26 without any cost and compete for recognition based on employee participation and funds raised.
This year's sponsors include the Reissa Foundation, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, Google, and Vinson & Elkins. Media partners promoting the event are Austin American-Statesman, Austin360, Austin Lifestyle among others.
