Manor Independent School District (ISD) is seeking community feedback on the proposed academic calendars for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. The district has developed two calendar options, A and B, for each year. These proposals were crafted by a committee representing various stakeholders to ensure diverse perspectives were considered.
The development of these calendars adheres to the Texas Education Code (TEC) §25.081, which mandates that school districts operate for at least 75,600 minutes annually. A full day of instruction equates to 450 minutes. Manor ISD teacher contracts are set for 187 days, including seven full days dedicated to professional learning.
Community members are encouraged to review and provide their preferences on the proposed options before the survey closes on February 7, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. The Board of Trustees will then vote on the selected calendar during their regular meeting scheduled for February 18, 2025.
Feedback from this survey is crucial as it will guide the final decision-making process regarding the academic schedule for the upcoming school years.
