Writers' League hosts discussion on inspiration with notable authors

The Writers' League of Texas (WLT) is set to kick off its Third Thursday series for 2025 with a virtual event titled “On Inspiration & Motivation: Igniting the Spark for 2025.” This monthly series brings together writers and readers for discussions led by distinguished panelists.

The upcoming session will feature a conversation with three authors, Charlotte Gullick, Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton, and James Wade. They will discuss how to find inspiration and maintain motivation throughout the year. The panel aims to provide insights into overcoming challenges, building support networks, and staying creative.

Charlotte Gullick is known for her work as a novelist, essayist, editor, and educator. Her novel "By Way of Water" was published by Blue Hen Books/Penguin Putnam. She has received numerous accolades including a Christopher Isherwood Fellowship for Fiction and a MacDowell Colony Residency.

Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton is an acclaimed literary artist and the first Black Poet Laureate of Houston, Texas. Her memoir "Black Chameleon" was named Best Nonfiction of 2023 by The Texas Institute of Letters. She has been recognized as part of Houston Business Journal's 2021 40 Under 40 class.

James Wade is an award-winning author known for his novels "Beasts of the Earth," "All Things Left Wild," and "River, Sing Out." He has received two Spur Awards from the Western Writers of America and the Reading the West Award from MPIBA.
