The 11th annual SonicGuild Ball is set to take place at Dell Hall in the Long Center for the Performing Arts. For the first time, this event will be open to the public. Described as a "real life mix tape," attendees are encouraged to dress in "Austin chic" attire, ranging from tuxedos and evening gowns to Wranglers and boots.

The ball will feature performances by ten local acts and $150,000 in grants will be awarded to promising Austin musicians. SonicGuild has previously supported artists such as Wild Child, Black Pumas, Shakey Graves, Nané, Superfonicos, Tameca Jones, among others.

"SonicGuild believes our local music is art which deserves the support of the community," states an organizer. The organization has provided over $6 million in direct support to Austin's music scene.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th with doors opening at 5:30 pm. Interested individuals can learn more or contribute by visiting sonicguild.org.

It is important to note that this is a venue rental event presented by an independent organization separate from the Long Center. The views expressed during the event do not necessarily reflect those of the Long Center.

The Long Center emphasizes its commitment to providing a safe environment and will not tolerate any demeaning or discriminatory behavior toward anyone involved with their events.
